Grossmont Union High School District recognized for their efforts.

Grossmont Union High School District was recognized at an event with nearly 500 people in attendance last week. The East County Transitional Living Center (ECTLC) celebrated 10 years of transforming lives at their 10th Anniversary and Fundraising Dinner held November 14, 2019!

The event was held at Shadow Mountain Community Church in El Cajon.

During the evening, individuals as well as organizations, were honored for their contribution to the success and transformation of hundreds of residents who have gone through any ECTLC programs. Grossmont Union High School District was among one of those recognized organizations!

East County Transitional Living Center has an on-site GED and High School Equivalency program that residents and community members can attend — this program is partnered with Grossmont Union High School District Adult Education.

The 3-day a week program has enabled 70 residents of ECTLC to attain their High School Equivalency! Learning on-site by a teacher who works one-on-one with them, students prepare to pass the rigorous, comprehensive tests, as well as obtain skills for future employment.

As a result, 100% of these students are now employed!
