To live in a society where stigmatization is the order of the day is to either conform or dare to be different. However, the situation is different for victims and survivors of abusive and dehumanizing experiences because society leaves them with little or no chance. Nicole Kosh is an outlier who understands that the difference between defeat and victory lies in the mental strength to stand up and try again after every setback. Therefore, when she founded NicMarie Design, the goal was a jewelry company. Still, today, it has metamorphosed into a full-blown wellness company dedicated to uplifting survivors of abuse and violence of all kinds and ensuring that society is kind towards them while giving them a new lease on life.
Nicole Kosh is a serial entrepreneur, businesswoman, philanthropist, and the principal founder of NicMarie. This company is responsible for the creation of clean beauty products for every body regardless of gender and age. According to the company’s website, NicMarie Design products contain premium hand-blended ingredients designed primarily to soothe sensitive skin, ease eczema and, more importantly, restore confidence to anyone who might have lost their edge due to one imparity or the other.
Growing up, Nicole always enjoyed designing jewelry for friends and family. The only other passion that was massively engraved in her heart was the desire to help others.
On what motivated her to start her business, she said, “I love it when people light up and smile when setting eyes on an exciting piece of jewelry. And, to watch someone finally feel relief from unbearably itchy, painful skin motivates me to share these creations with others.”
In addition to helping others topically or with an item to decorate their body, Nicole is working toward providing shelter for those who need it most. According to her, “Through my life’s twists and turns, ups and downs along the valleys and mountains of life, I’ve been grateful for all those who have helped me, and I want to do that for others. I know too many women and men struggling in abusive relationships where they have nowhere else to turn. I want to assist them in turning their life around and lead them to positive growth, improved mental health, more self-care, and, most importantly, confidence.”
As a proponent of courage and never giving up, Nicole championed numerous causes through NicMarie Design. For instance, victims and survivors of domestic violence and abuse are entitled to one NicMarie Design product of their choosing as a way of the company standing by them and reassuring them that their experiences need not hinder their journey to recovery in any way. Additionally, NicMarie Design, donates to partners with the same mission including the Joyful Heart Foundation, RAINN, Center for Community Solutions of San Diego, Monarch Services of Santa Cruz, CA, and Home of the Sparrow in Exton, PA.
NicMarie Design’s commitment to helping the disadvantaged remains a core mission of the company. However, its primary responsibility includes healing sensitive skin and increasing confidence worldwide. In five years, Nicole hopes to have successfully provided housing for 100 survivors and their children in the United States. In addition to speaking at schools and community events about awareness of healthy relationships and available resources.
